ONBOARDING STEPS

πŸ“ Step 1: Submit Your Tax Forms
πŸ” Step 2: Register in ADP Workforce Now

Go to ADP Workforce Now

  1. Select New User? / Get Started. You must register as a new user even if you have an ADP account with a previous employer.

2. Choose Find Me.

3. Enter your personal email address or mobile number that you have previously provided to SNF and click Search.

4. Enter the last 4 digits of your SSN, EIN, TIN, or ITIN and click Continue.

5. Select Create a new ADP user ID and password and click Continue.

6. Enter your Personal email address, if blank.

7. Create your user ID and password. Your password must be at least 8 characters and include at least one alpha and one numeric or special character. Then click Create your account.

Important: Keep your ADP credentials in a safe place.

🏦 Step 3: Set Up Direct Deposit
  1. Within ADP, go to Myself in the navigation menu and select Payment Options.

2. Select Add Bank Account.

3. Add your banking details.

  • You must have a Full Net Account.
  • Partial deposits can only be entered as flat amounts (no % values).
  • You may have up to 5 accounts: 3 checking and 2 savings.
  • If direct deposit is incomplete, ADP mails checks to the home address on file.
πŸ‘€ Step 4: Verify Your Personal Information
  1. Within ADP, go to Myself in the navigation menu and select Profile.

2. Review and verify the personal information shown in ADP:

  • Government identification number on file
  • Phone number
  • Personal email address
  • Mailing address
🚨 Step 5: Add Your Emergency Contact
  1. Within ADP, go to Myself in the navigation menu and select Profile.

2. Select Add Contact under the Emergency Contacts section.

3. Enter the full name, relationship, primary contact designation, and personal mobile number.

4. Save your changes.

πŸ“‹ Step 6: Enroll in Benefits

Complete the form in the link below:

New Hire Sunlife Enrollment Form 942-2755-E

This form provides SNF and Sun Life with the information required to begin the enrollment process for the following benefits:

  • Health and dental coverage
  • Life insurance beneficiary information
  • Short-term and long-term disability elections, where applicable
  • Provincial health coverage coordination if new to Canada

Submit enrollment within the applicable eligibility window to avoid reduced late-applicant limits.

Go to
mysunlife.ca
or use the my Sun Life app.

  1. Select Register.
  2. Use the email address on file or your personal email.
  3. Follow the registration prompts.
  4. Once coverage is active, set up direct deposit for claim reimbursements.

Administered by Sun Life. Includes prescription drugs, hospital and healthcare supplies and services, emergency services, paramedical services, and vision care. Eligible after 30 days of employment.

Healthcare Benefits

Includes prescription drugs, hospital and healthcare supplies and services, paramedical services, and vision care.

Dental

Includes basic, preventive, orthodontic procedures, and major services.

Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance

Employee Life: 2 times your annual basic earnings rounded to the next higher $1,000. Maximum – $300,000. Minimum – $20,000.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment: Equal to Employee Life coverage.

Dependent Life Insurance

This benefit provides dependent life insurance coverage of $5,000 for your spouse and $2,500 per child.

Short-Term Disability

Benefit equals 66.67% of your weekly earnings, up to a maximum of $1,750 per week. Premium is paid by the employer. Benefit payments are taxable income.

Long-Term Disability

66.67% of your monthly basic earnings up to a maximum of $10,000. For coverage in excess of the amount indicated under proof of good health, your coverage is subject to approval by Sun Life.

Prescription Medication / Pharmacist Access

Register for online access to medication management, Pharmacist Support, and Prescription Delivery.

Lumino Health Pharmacy Registration

RRSP Contribution

RRSP is due to employees with one year of full service by 1 January. You will receive a letter, the deposit form, and the authorization form via email. RRSP deposits are directly deposited into employee accounts by the last day of February by the Accounting Department. Employees receive 5% of their earnings if they have room for the deposit. If terminated in the current year, no deposit is made. The maximum amount to be deposited changes every year.

Vacation Time

Vacation eligibility is based on full calendar years of service from your hire date after one year of service:

  • Less than 5 full calendar years – 80 hours per year
  • After 5 full calendar years – 120 hours per year
  • After 10 full calendar years – 160 hours per year

Statutory Holidays

The following 11 statutory holidays will be observed each year:

  • New Year’s Day – January 1
  • Alberta Family Day – 3rd Monday of February
  • Good Friday – Varies
  • Victoria Day – Monday immediately preceding May 25
  • Canada Day – July 1
  • Heritage Day – First Monday of August
  • Labour Day – First Monday of September
  • Canadian Thanksgiving – Second Monday of October
  • Remembrance Day – November 11
  • Christmas Day – December 25
  • Boxing Day – December 26

Salary Employees: Salary employees are paid on a semi-monthly basis.

Hourly Employees: Hourly employees are paid on a weekly basis.
